Two Suspects Apprehended Following Burglary Scuffle at Atlanta Dollar Tree Store
On Sunday, June 9, 2024, at around 4:00 a.m., Atlanta Police officers responded to a burglary call at the Dollar Tree located at 906 Ralph D Abernathy Blvd SW.
Upon arrival, an officer spotted a male suspect exiting the store with a backpack. When the officer attempted to detain him, the suspect resisted, resulting in a physical altercation. The officer used a Taser to subdue the suspect, who was then successfully apprehended. The officer sustained minor injuries.
A witness provided a description of a second suspect, leading to their arrest at a nearby gas station. Both suspects were found in possession of stolen merchandise and have been charged accordingly.
