Atlanta Police Investigate Carjacking Turned Shooting on Campbellton Road SW
On Friday, June 7th, 2024, at around 7:28 PM, Atlanta Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at 1489 Campbellton Road SW.
Upon arrival, they found a 40-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. The man was alive and transported to the hospital for treatment.
Initial investigations suggest the incident began as a carjacking and escalated into gunfire. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s stolen vehicle after the shooting.
The Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating the incident, which remains ongoing.
