Macon Woman Arrested After Argument Escalates Into Assault, Damage to Bibb County Patrol Vehicle
MACON, Ga. – A woman was arrested on multiple charges after a dispute at a Macon home escalated into an assault and later resulted in damage to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle, according to an incident report.
Sgt. Sampson responded Monday night, Sept. 14, to a home in the 500 block of Short Street East after deputies received a disorderly conduct call that developed into an aggravated assault investigation.
When the deputy arrived, 20-year-old Kenyia Williams and 32-year-old Britnee Nicoshia Williams were still arguing, according to the report. Authorities said Kenyia Williams does not live at the residence.
Britnee Williams told the deputy that an argument preceded Kenyia Williams striking her white Honda Civic. The incident occurred in the presence of Britnee Williams’ children, according to the report.
While the deputy was at the scene, Kenyia Williams threw a cellphone at Britnee Williams and then attempted to assault her again, the report states.
The deputy moved to arrest Kenyia Williams, who authorities said physically resisted being taken into custody.
After she was placed inside the patrol vehicle, Williams began kicking its door and window, causing damage, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Williams was initially transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center, where authorities said she continued to be disorderly. Medical personnel at the facility required her to receive medical clearance before she could be accepted into custody.
The deputy then transported Williams to Atrium Health Navicent, where she was evaluated and medically cleared. She was returned to the Law Enforcement Center and booked without further incident.
Williams was charged with aggravated assault, third-degree cruelty to children, obstruction of officers and interference with government property.
