Two Men Critically Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Vineville Avenue in Macon

MACON, Ga. – Two men were critically injured Monday morning when a motorcycle traveling the wrong way on Vineville Avenue collided with an SUV, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center at 9:06 a.m. Sept. 14 near the intersection of Vineville and Brookdale avenues.

Investigators said a motorist driving a Honda SUV was attempting to turn left from Vineville Avenue onto Brookdale Avenue when the collision occurred.

According to the sheriff’s office, a motorcycle carrying two men was traveling in the wrong direction on Vineville Avenue when it collided with the SUV.

Both the motorcycle driver and his passenger were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Medical staff listed both men in critical condition.

Authorities have not released their identities pending notification of family.

No injuries to the driver of the Honda were reported.
