Search Underway for Missing Georgia Man After His Car Was Spotted in Macon

MACON, Ga. – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a 27-year-old man who has been missing since Aug. 23, although his vehicle was spotted in Macon nearly a week after he was last seen.

Kevin Dwayne Stone was last seen Aug. 23 in Americus, Georgia, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Six days later, Stone’s vehicle was seen around 11:06 p.m. Aug. 29 near Riverside Drive and Pierce Avenue in Macon.

Authorities described the vehicle as a blue 2008 two-door Honda Accord with a black front bumper and Georgia license plate SJS 8373.

The Sheriff’s Office did not say whether investigators know who was driving the Honda when it was seen in Macon.

Stone is described as 6 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds.

According to his family, Stone has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
