Dunwoody, Ga. – A dispute over a minor vehicle collision in an apartment parking garage escalated into a shooting that left one man wounded and resulted in the arrest of three people, according to police.

Officers responded to the Drift Apartments after receiving a report of an armed person.

Investigators determined the incident began after a minor private-property traffic collision in the apartment parking deck. One of the vehicles was driven by a woman, while the other was occupied by Jalen Wade.

According to police, the drivers and occupants began arguing following the collision. Jalen’s brother, Andrew Wade-Bell, arrived after hearing about the dispute.

The female driver then contacted her boyfriend, identified as Leonardo Dismukes, who came to the apartment complex and joined the confrontation with Wade and Wade-Bell.

Authorities said the verbal dispute escalated into a physical fight. During the altercation, a handgun fell from Dismukes’ waistband. His girlfriend picked up the firearm before returning it to him after the fight ended.

Police said Dismukes then fired five rounds at Jalen Wade as Wade ran from the scene. Wade was struck in the foot.

Officers detained Dismukes at the scene, and after an interview, charged him with two counts of aggravated assault, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was booked into the DeKalb County Jail.

Investigators also charged Jalen Wade and Andrew Wade-Bell with simple assault for their roles in the physical fight that occurred before the shooting.

Wade was transported to North Fulton Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police said he will be transported to the DeKalb County Jail after receiving medical treatment.

Andrew Wade-Bell was transported directly to the DeKalb County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
