Gwinnett Police Seek Suspect Accused of Threatening Taxi Driver With Knife in Norcross

NORCROSS, Ga. — Gwinnett County police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of threatening a taxi driver with a knife after refusing to pay his full fare.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the incident occurred on May 10, 2026.

Investigators said a taxi driver picked up a passenger and drove him to the 1500 block of Shenta Oak Drive in Norcross.

When they arrived, the passenger paid only part of the fare and told the driver he was going inside to get the remaining money.

After the man failed to return, the taxi driver went to the front door to inquire about the unpaid fare.

Police said the man then came outside carrying a pole in one hand and a knife in the other before threatening the driver with the knife.

The driver left the area safely and contacted police.

Gwinnett County Police detectives are asking anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call (770) 513-5300.
