Man Charged With Murder in Death of 73-Year-Old Brunswick Resident

BRUNSWICK, Texas – A Glynn County man has been charged in connection with the homicide of a 73-year-old resident whose death occurred earlier this year.

On June 5, 2026, detectives with the Glynn County Police Department Criminal Investigations Division obtained arrest warrants for 28-year-old Robert Arnold Williamson IV in connection with the death of Robert Eugene Yawn, 73.

According to investigators, the homicide occurred on March 24, 2026, at a residence on Abbott Avenue in Glynn County.

Following what authorities described as an extensive investigation, detectives charged Williamson with:

  • Felony Murder
  • Malice Murder
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Exploitation of an Elder Person

Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding Yawn’s death.

Williamson is currently being held at the Glynn County Detention Center, where authorities said he was already in custody on unrelated charges.

The Glynn County Police Department said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
