Pedestrian Killed in Thursday Night Crash on Log Cabin Drive in Macon

MACON, Georgia – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Thursday night, May 21st, in Macon.

According to investigators, the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center received reports of the collision shortly before 9:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Log Cabin Drive near Chambers Road.

Witnesses told deputies that the driver of a gray Chevrolet Silverado struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway while wearing dark clothing.

The pedestrian was identified as 32-year-old Isaiah Scott. Authorities said Scott was transported by ambulance to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.

Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley confirmed Scott’s death and said his family has been notified.

Investigators said no other injuries were reported in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
