Child Safely Recovered After Kidnapping in Rockdale County
ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. — A 4-year-old child reported missing during a domestic incident was safely recovered overnight, according to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded May 8 to the Smokerise East subdivision for reports of an assault and possible kidnapping involving a child with autism.
Investigators said the child’s father, Terrence Noble, arrived at the home with his girlfriend, Desiree Casswell, to visit. An altercation occurred between Casswell and the child’s mother.
Authorities said Noble and Casswell then left the residence with the child without permission and drove toward Atlanta.
Officials contacted the Georgia Bureau of Investigation regarding an Amber Alert, but a statewide media alert was issued instead due to the lack of immediate threat and limited vehicle information.
The Atlanta Police Department assisted in locating the child. Officers made contact with Noble’s mother, who helped facilitate the child’s safe return to Rockdale County.
The child was returned to the mother shortly after midnight and was not injured.
Authorities said warrants have been issued for Noble and Casswell on charges of assault and kidnapping.
