19-Year-Old Arrested in Garden City Homicide; Police Seek Vehicle of Interest

GARDEN CITY, Ga. — A 19-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month, authorities said.

On April 1, 2026, at approximately 6:46 p.m., Garden City Police officers responded to the 300 block of Chatham Villa Drive for reports of a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, identified as Tre’Vonn Jason, who was transported to a hospital and later pronounced deceased.

Following an investigation, Garden City Police detectives arrested Joseph Russell Natson, 19, on April 7 at his residence on Iowa Street in Savannah. He has been charged with murder and is currently being held at the Chatham County Detention Center awaiting arraignment.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the case and are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle of interest described as a white 2018 Toyota Camry bearing Georgia tag CIA6195.
