Decatur Woman Arrested in Child Porn Distribution Investigation

Decatur, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested a 27-year-old Decatur, GA, resident on one count of Sexual Exploitation of Children following an investigation into alleged possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material online.

Emily Rae Staub, 27, of Decatur in DeKalb County, was taken into custody on Thursday, February 12, 2026, and booked into the DeKalb County Jail.

The probe began in October 2025 when the GBI Child Exploitation and Abuse Coordination Center (CEACC) Unit, formerly known as the Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit, received a CyberTipline Report from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The report flagged suspicious online activity involving possible possession and sharing of known child sexual abuse material linked to Staub.

After months of investigative work, including digital forensics and coordination with local authorities, GBI agents secured a search warrant and executed it at Staub’s residence, leading to her arrest.

The DeKalb County Police Department assisted with the investigation and arrest. GBI Assistant Special Agent Deanna Jury is heading the investigation.

Anyone with information about other cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit at 404-270-8870 or report via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline at Cybertipline.org.
