Two Charged in Peachtree City Fentanyl Overdose Death
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — Two individuals have been charged in connection with a fatal fentanyl overdose that occurred in Peachtree City in November 2025, authorities announced.
On November 3, 2025, the Peachtree City Police Department and Peachtree City Fire Department responded to a residence within the city limits regarding a possible drug overdose. Despite life-saving efforts, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation conducted a medical examination and toxicological analysis, which revealed a high level of fentanyl in the individual’s system. The substance was determined to be a contributing factor in the cause of death.
Following the findings, the Peachtree City Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit launched a comprehensive investigation focused on identifying the source and distribution of the fentanyl.
As a result of that investigation, arrest warrants were issued on February 1, 2026.
Jordan Houston Lytton and Rachel Cecelia Myers have each been charged with Aggravated Involuntary Manslaughter (Felony), Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl (Felony), and Use of a Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony (Felony).
Authorities said the Sandy Springs Police Department assisted in locating and apprehending Myers. During the execution of a search warrant at her apartment, officers reportedly found fentanyl, methamphetamine, morphine, LSD, and a firearm.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police extended condolences to the victim’s family and said they will continue working with partner agencies to address illegal narcotics distribution in the community.
