Wanted: Amir Johnson

CONYERS, Ga. – A 22-year-old Stockbridge man was shot and killed inside a Conyers home Tuesday night, and police are now searching for a 21-year-old suspect wanted on felony murder and aggravated assault charges.

Officers with the Conyers Police Department responded around 8:22 p.m. on January 13, 2026, to a report of a person shot at a residence in the 1100 block of Forest Villa Drive. When officers arrived, they found Kaleb King suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside the home.

Detectives reviewed surveillance video and conducted multiple witness interviews as part of the investigation. Based on that evidence, investigators identified Amir Johnson, 21, of Conyers, as the suspect in the shooting. Johnson is currently wanted on charges of felony murder and aggravated assault.

Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated and targeted incident and said there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active.
