‘Paper Gang Family’ Rappers Convicted of Running Drug Hub at Metro-Atlanta School Bus Stops

ATLANTA, GA – Federal juries have convicted three men involved in a drug trafficking operation that used a rap music label as a front for distributing narcotics across metro Atlanta, often conducting deals in full view of local children.

Kory Keon Solomon, Antonio Pierre Ashmeade, and Rodrigus Dartez Williams were found guilty for their roles in the Ellenwood-based organization known as the “Paper Gang Family” (PGF). The convictions conclude a multi-year investigation by the DEA that highlighted the group’s “brazen” disregard for community safety.

Convictions and Timeline

The trio was convicted across two separate trials:

  • December 17, 2025: Ashmeade and Williams were found guilty of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
  • January 8, 2026: Solomon was found guilty of conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Poison at the Bus Stop

Federal prosecutors detailed how PGF members operated their drug hub out of Ellenwood, Georgia. DEA agents testified that they observed members conducting narcotics transactions on the same streets where school buses were dropping off students.

“These defendants set up their drug operation in metro-Atlanta, blatantly peddling their poison around students’ bus stops,” said U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg. “They now face significant sentences in federal prison.”

Key Evidence at Trial

The investigation, which began in 2019, utilized social media and high-speed highway stops to dismantle the ring:

  • Social Media Flaunting: In 2021, Rodrigus Williams posted a video to social media showing him flaunting large amounts of cash immediately after selling methamphetamine in Ellenwood.
  • I-75 Takedown: In February 2022, Kory Solomon was intercepted on Interstate 75 by the Georgia State Patrol. A search of his vehicle yielded two kilograms of cocaine and a 9mm handgun.
  • Restaurant Parking Lot Deal: In April 2023, Antonio Ashmeade was observed handing a plastic shopping bag containing half a kilogram of methamphetamine to a customer in a southeast Atlanta restaurant parking lot.

Sentencing and Penalties

The three men are currently awaiting sentencing before U.S. District Judge Thomas W. Thrash, Jr.
