Macon Man Wanted in Fatal Rocky Creek Road Hit-and-Run That Killed Woman

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating 21-year-old Carmelo Aamir Johnson of Macon, who is wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run investigation on Rocky Creek Road in Macon, GA.

The case dates back to August 28, 2025, when deputies responded to the 2200 block of Rocky Creek Road just before 11:30 a.m. Investigators were in the area following up on a missing person case when they discovered a woman lying on the roadside. She appeared to be the victim of a hit-and-run. The woman was later identified as 23-year-old Ronni Nykole Abbott.

Johnson has since been named a person of interest. He is currently wanted for Hit and Run Causing Serious Injury or Death and Vehicular Homicide.

Johnson is described as a Black male, 5’11”, roughly 150 pounds.
