Three Arrested After Stolen Hyundai Sonata Crashes During Bibb County Pursuit

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested three people following a pursuit involving a stolen Hyundai Sonata driven by a 13-year-old. The chase ended at Forest Avenue and Third Street, where the young driver crashed the vehicle before running off with three passengers.

Deputies quickly began searching the area. A 21-year-old woman was found first, but investigators say she refused to comply with commands and was tased before being taken into custody. Deputies also located an 18-year-old male passenger, along with a 12-year-old boy who had previously been reported as a runaway.

The 13-year-old driver, who has been identified, will be referred to the court system. Authorities noted that the same Hyundai Sonata had been reported stolen earlier from Walnut Street, where witnesses saw three passengers hanging out of the windows.

The case is still under investigation.
