Bibb County Deputies Investigating Shooting That Injured 16-Year-Old Girl
MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault reported early Saturday morning after a teenage girl was shot on Pittman Street.
The call came into the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 1:19 a.m. Deputies arrived in the 200 block of Pittman Street and learned that the 16-year-old victim had already been taken to a medical facility by personal vehicle.
Medical staff reported that she was being treated for a gunshot wound and is currently listed in stable condition.
Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division’s Violent Crimes Unit are working to determine what led up to the shooting. No suspect information or motive has been released.
The Sheriff’s Office says more details will be shared as the investigation develops.
