Savannah Police Investigate Multiple Shootings Over Three Days

Savannah, Georgia – The Savannah Police Department is investigating three separate shootings that occurred October 24–26, 2025, leaving two men injured and one man deceased.

  • Oct. 24 – 500 block of Emerald Drive: Officers responded after a gunshot wound victim walked into Memorial Health University Medical Center around 10:30 p.m. The adult male suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Evidence confirmed he was shot on Emerald Drive. No arrests have been made.
  • Oct. 25 – 5000 block of Compton Road: Officers arrived at the scene at approximately 9:24 p.m. and found an adult male suffering a gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving measures, he was pronounced deceased on scene. No arrests have been made.
  • Oct. 26 – 1200 block of E. 71st Street: Officers responded at 1:50 p.m. to a shooting reported at a residence. Keith King, 46, was shot in apparent self-defense following an altercation with a female resident. King was treated at Memorial Health University Medical Center and charged with simple assault and criminal trespass.
