Tifton Police Seek Suspect in Fatal Stabbing

UPDATE: Tifton Police are announcing 41-year-old Pablo Moreno, prime suspect in the October 15 stabbing death of Darinel Noriega, 31, of Tifton, was apprehended in Hillsborough County, Fla. Thursday, October 16th.  Moreno is currently held by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and is awaiting extradition to Tifton

Tifton, GA – Tifton Police are investigating the death of 31-year-old Darinel Noriega, who was found with multiple stab wounds on October 15, 2025, at a residence on Ferry Lake Road. Noriega was transported to Tift Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Investigators have identified Pablo Moreno as the prime suspect. Authorities believe the incident may have stemmed from a domestic dispute. Moreno faces charges including felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, first-degree burglary, and five counts of third-degree cruelty to children.
