The GBI announced the arrests on October 16.
Investigation Began Following Child Abuse Allegations
According to the GBI, the investigation began October 7, 2026, when the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance investigating allegations that Kenneth Brewer had inappropriate sexual contact with a child.
GBI agents subsequently investigated the allegations, leading to criminal charges against both individuals.
The agency has not disclosed the child’s age, the circumstances surrounding the alleged abuse or the relationship between the suspects and the victim.
Authorities also have not explained the specific conduct underlying the charge against Kelley Brewer.
