Five Suspects Arrested in September 5th Homicide of 18-Year-Old

Columbus, GA — Police have arrested five suspects in connection with the September 5 shooting that claimed the life of 18-year-old Kalielah Davis.
According to investigators, the arrests were the result of a coordinated effort between the Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, Fugitive Unit, Real Time Crime Center, and the Phenix City Police Department.
- Lafabien Anderson, 16, was arrested September 11. His case was bound over to Superior Court with no bond.
- Kacin Grant, 21, was arrested September 17. He is charged with murder, five counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Grant is awaiting extradition from Alabama.
- Ty’Ron Cherry, 15, was arrested September 17. He is charged with murder under SB 440, five counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm under 18.
- Lamarcus Williams, 18, was arrested September 17. He faces charges of murder, five counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
- Noah Toney, 15, was arrested September 17. He is charged with murder under SB 440, five counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm under 18.
