Clarkesville Man Charged with Sexual Exploitation of Children

CLARKESVILLE, Ga.—The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Alex Michael Miller, 36, with Sexual Exploitation of Children.
The investigation began in June 2024 after the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit received a CyberTipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The report indicated the possible online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation led to Miller’s arrest, which was assisted by the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office. Miller was booked into the Lumpkin County Jail.
This arrest is part of the ongoing efforts of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, which works to identify individuals involved in the trade of child sexual abuse material. The ICAC program was developed by the U.S. Department of Justice to address the increase in child sexual abuse material and online predators.
Anyone with information about other cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit at 404-270-8870 or report via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline at Cybertipline.org.
