Two Men Arrested After Armed Robbery at Macon CVS

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on August 21, 2025, around 9:40 p.m. at the CVS located at 1271 Gray Highway.
According to reports, two masked men entered the store armed with a firearm and demanded money from the register. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects fled in a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Deputies responding to the area spotted the suspects’ vehicle and attempted to stop it near the 3300 block of Mercer University Drive. When the vehicle pulled over at a gas station, a 20-year-old male exited and was taken into custody. The driver and another passenger fled in the vehicle but later abandoned it, running into nearby woods. Deputies recovered the vehicle and apprehended a 39-year-old male in the woods.
The suspects were identified as Elijah Jeremiah Searcy, 20, of Macon, and Jamal Michael Roberts, 39, of Handover, Pennsylvania. Both were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
- Searcy, who has a holdout of Warner Robins, is charged with Armed Robbery.
- Roberts is charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Giving a False Name to a Law Enforcement Officer.
Both suspects are being held without bond.
