Carrollton Police ACE Unit Seizes 14 Firearms, Over 0K in Drugs in Summer Operations

CARROLLTON, GA – The Carrollton Police Department’s Anti-Crime & Enforcement (ACE) Unit has announced the results of its summer operations, which have led to a series of arrests and significant seizures of illegal firearms and narcotics.

Over the past two months, ACE investigators have executed 13 search warrants and made more than 27 felony arrests. Their efforts resulted in the recovery of 14 firearms, including several illegally modified weapons capable of automatic fire.

The unit also removed a substantial amount of dangerous drugs from the streets, with a combined estimated street value of over $100,000. The seized narcotics include:

  • Fentanyl: approximately $67,600 street value
  • Marijuana: approximately $14,400 street value
  • Methamphetamine: approximately $11,000 street value
  • Powder Cocaine: approximately $10,300 street value

The seizures are part of a continuous effort to disrupt the flow of narcotics and hold those contributing to gun and drug violence accountable. The department stated that it is sending a clear message that it is “not slowing down” in its efforts to keep the community safe.
