GBI Arrests Two in Macon Drug Bust, Seizes Cocaine, Meth, Ecstasy, and Firearms

MACON, GA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested 53-year-old Wendell Terrell Rumph and 52-year-old Adrienne Thompson, both of Macon, following a month-long drug trafficking investigation. On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, GBI agents executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Walnut Street in Bibb County.

The search resulted in the seizure of:

  • 769 grams of suspected powder cocaine
  • 60 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • 33 grams of suspected ecstasy (MDMA)
  • 185 grams of suspected marijuana
  • 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • 2 handguns
  • $3,000 in U.S. currency

Wendell Rumph was charged with:

  • 2 counts of Trafficking Cocaine
  • Trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking Ecstasy
  • 4 counts of Sale/Distribution of Cocaine
  • Sale/Distribution of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute

Adrienne Thompson was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Both suspects were booked into the Bibb County Jail. The investigation involved the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force, Warner Robins Police Department, Georgia State Patrol, Department of Community Supervision, and Department of Corrections.
