Brunswick Teen Charged with Rape of Juvenile at Royal Inn

On July 14, 2025, at approximately 12:57 p.m., Glynn County Police officers responded to a report of a sexual assault involving a juvenile at 5004 New Jesup Highway. The investigation determined the incident occurred at the Royal Inn, located at 5252 New Jesup Highway.

The 15-year-old victim was transported for a forensic interview and medical evaluation. Detectives and crime scene technicians with the Criminal Investigations Division responded to assist with the case.

The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Kilen Steward of Brunswick, was apprehended at the Royal Inn and taken to GCPD Headquarters for questioning and forensic processing. A witness was also interviewed.

Following the investigation, Steward was arrested and charged with Rape. He was transported to the Glynn County Detention Center.
