Three Juveniles Arrested in Troup County for String of 35 Car Break-Ins

Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division, arrested three juveniles on June 2, 2025, in connection with a total of 35 “Entering Auto” cases. The three male juveniles, two aged 14 and one aged 15, face a combined total of 52 felony charges, ranging from Theft, Entering Auto, and Firearms charges.
The series of crimes occurred between March and June 1st at various locations throughout Troup County, and potentially other jurisdictions. Investigators are actively collaborating with other agencies to link these juveniles to additional crimes. Some stolen property has been recovered, and victims have been contacted.
The Sheriff’s Office noted that in the majority of these incidents, the victims reported their vehicles were left unlocked, serving as a reminder to always lock vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside.
“I want to thank my excellent team of investigators who have been working tirelessly to try and find those responsible for these crimes and charge them accordingly,” said Sheriff James Woodruff.
The investigation remains ongoing.
