Thomas County Authorities Make Two Arrests in Separate Drug Investigations

The Thomas County Sheriff’s Office, through its Thomas County/Thomasville Narcotics/Vice Division, conducted two separate search warrants on May 20, leading to the arrest of two individuals on drug and weapons charges.
Anthony Lamar White, Jr. was arrested after a search warrant was executed at 355 Sanford Heights in Thomasville. White faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute.

In a separate operation on the same day, a search warrant was served at 1120 South Street in Thomasville, resulting in the arrest of Demetrius Dontae Ross. Ross has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance (Alpha-PVP, also known as Mollie) with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Obstruction of an Officer.
During the search at Ross’s residence, authorities seized approximately 2.25 ounces of Alpha-PVP (Mollie), several digital scales, numerous baggies, a Taurus .38 pistol with ammunition, $6,137.00 in U.S. currency, and a vehicle.
Both investigations are ongoing.
