Suspect Found Hiding in Closet, Arrested for Terrorizing Mother of His Children

On Wednesday, April 16th, Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a suspect who was found hiding in a closet after he allegedly terrorized the mother of his children during a planned parental visit. He was identified as Michael Bustos-Abonza.

According to a Sheriff’s Office report, the suspect faces multiple felony charges, including theft by taking, criminal trespass-property damage, false imprisonment, cruelty to children in the first degree-family violence (two counts), and aggravated assault-family violence (three counts).

In addition to these charges stemming from the incident, the suspect was also found to have outstanding warrants. He was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.

Bustos-Abonza was denied bond and his case has been bound over to Superior Court.
