Shooting in Atlanta’s Ashview Heights Leaves One Dead, One Critically Injured
Atlanta Police Department officers responded to a person shot call at 70 Newcastle St SW in the Ashview Heights area at approximately 12:17 a.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male with an apparent gunshot wound. Grady EMS personnel on scene pronounced him deceased. A second male victim was also located at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital by Grady EMS in critical but stable condition.
Homicide investigators responded to the location and are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
