Kingsland Police Arrest Fugitive Wanted in Brunswick Murder Case

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at approximately 3:23 p.m., the Kingsland Police Department Special Response Team arrested Kyara Baker (Pierce), a fugitive wanted on a felony warrant as a party to a crime for murder in Brunswick, Georgia.

The coordinated efforts of Kingsland Police officers and supporting units resulted in the safe capture of Baker.

Chief Rick Evans praised the professionalism of his officers and thanked Chief Smith and the Brunswick Police Department for their collaboration, which played a key role in the swift apprehension.

“The safety of our residents is our top priority, and we will not tolerate those who bring violence into our community,” said Chief Evans. “I am incredibly proud of our team’s hard work and the partnerships we’ve built with neighboring agencies to achieve justice.”
