Gwinnett County Police Investigate Apparent Murder-Suicide in Duluth Apartment

On the evening of February 20, 2025, Gwinnett County Police officers responded to a welfare check at an apartment on Centerview Drive in Duluth. Family members had expressed concern after not hearing from their uncle for several days and receiving a message they believed to be a suicide note.

Upon forcibly entering the residence around 10:30 p.m., officers discovered the bodies of an adult male and an adult female. Preliminary investigations suggest the female died from strangulation, while the male’s death was due to hanging. The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies to confirm the official causes of death.

Authorities do not believe any other individuals were involved in the incident. The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
