Driver Arrested After Road Rage Shooting Near Atlanta Airport Terminal

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at approximately 1:55 PM, officers responded to reports of gunshots at 6000 South Terminal Parkway NW near I-75/85 North.

The victim stated he was involved in a road rage incident after dropping off a client at the lower level of the south terminal. As both vehicles exited the area, the suspect sideswiped the victim’s car, became irate, and fired gunshots before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries, and his vehicle was damaged.

The Auto Crimes Enforcement Unit canvassed the area and located the suspect’s vehicle at 4210 Moreland Avenue SE. Officers conducted a felony stop, detaining both the driver and passenger. The passenger was released, but the driver, identified as 39-year-old Erick Freeman, was confirmed as the suspect.

Freeman was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Reckless Conduct, and Discharging a Firearm. He was transported to the Clayton County Jail.
