12-Year-Old Injured in Drive-By Shooting While Asleep in South Atlanta Home

At approximately 12:15 a.m. on October 31, 2024, Atlanta Police responded to reports of a shooting at 2091 Lakewood Trail SE in South Atlanta, near Dobbs Elementary School. Officers arrived to find a 12-year-old child with a gunshot wound to the shoulder and a graze wound on the forearm.
