Houston County Mourns the Passing of Sheriff Cullen Talton

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office has announced the passing of Sheriff Cullen Talton, who died peacefully at his home this morning at the age of 92. Sheriff Talton was first elected in 1972 after serving the citizens as a County Commissioner, making him one of the longest-serving sheriffs in Georgia.

In a statement, Bibb County Sheriff David Davis extended his condolences to Sheriff Talton’s family and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, noting, “Law enforcement has lost a true giant in our profession. Sheriff Talton was a mentor, encourager, and friend.”
