Stolen Vehicle Found Abandoned After Crash; Juvenile Burglary Suspect Apprehended

On September 5, 2024, the DeKalb County Police Department (DKPD), in coordination with a neighboring jurisdiction, conducted a search in the area of Pennybrook Lane following a tip about a stolen vehicle. Officers located the abandoned vehicle after it had crashed into the stairs of a residence. One of the juvenile suspects was apprehended at the scene. The individual was subsequently identified as a suspect in a recent burglary on Pennybrook Lane. Thanks to the swift response from law enforcement, both the stolen vehicle was recovered and a burglary suspect was taken into custody.
