Suspected Human Remains Found Amid Search for Missing Banks County Man
On Friday afternoon, August 9, 2024, the Banks County Sheriff’s Office discovered suspected human remains in a wooded area near Harden Bridge Road. The remains were found during a search for 66-year-old Charles “Eddie” Ramsey, a man reported missing by his family. Ramsey, who was last seen walking towards his home on Harden Bridge Road in mid-June 2024, had been the subject of a BOLO issued by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office.
The remains have been transported to the medical examiner’s office for official identification. While there is no suspicion of foul play at this time, the circumstances and manner of death are still under investigation.
