4-Year-Old Girl Dies After Medical Emergency at Macon Home

MACON, Ga. – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 4-year-old girl following a medical emergency at a home on Rocky Creek Road.

The child has been identified as Jayde Wooten.

The emergency was reported to the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday from a residence in the 1200 block of Rocky Creek Road.

Bibb County sheriff’s deputies responded and began rendering aid until firefighters and paramedics arrived.

Jayde was transported to a local medical facility, where medical staff pronounced her dead.

The sheriff’s office has not released information about what caused the medical emergency or the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.

The investigation remains ongoing.
