Two Found Shot to Death Inside Vidalia Home, GBI Assisting Investigation

VIDALIA, Ga. – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Vidalia Police Department with an investigation into the deaths of two people who were found with gunshot wounds inside a residence Thursday evening.

The victims were identified as 20-year-old Xzavier Elijah Andrews and 17-year-old Za’Mariyah Nicole Robinson, both of Vidalia.

According to the GBI, at approximately 6:14 p.m. on July 23, Toombs County 911 received a report of shots fired at a home in the 1000 block of Easter Drive.

Officers with the Vidalia Police Department responded to the residence and discovered Andrews and Robinson inside the home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

At the request of the Vidalia Police Department, GBI agents responded to investigate the deaths.

Authorities said the bodies will be transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office, where autopsies will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

Investigators have not released information regarding a possible suspect, a motive or the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
