Armed Robbery Reported at Auto Parts Store in Macon, Investigators Need Help Identifying Suspect

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday evening at an auto parts store on Pio Nono Avenue.

Deputies were dispatched to Advanced Auto Parts, located at 3385 Pio Nono Avenue, after the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center received a report of a robbery at approximately 6:20 p.m.

According to investigators, a man entered the business, displayed a firearm, and demanded money from a store employee.

The suspect fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Authorities described the suspect as a Black male with a stocky build, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a surgical mask, a red shirt, black shorts, and a blue bonnet-style cap.

Investigators have obtained surveillance images from the store and are working to identify the suspect.

The circumstances surrounding the robbery remain under investigation, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
