Three Charged After Fatal Shooting of Douglas Man in Coffee County

COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. — Three people, including a juvenile, have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a Douglas man during a dispute at a residence in Coffee County, authorities said.

Deputies with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday, June 7, to a reported shooting at a residence on Broxton West Green Highway. Upon arrival, deputies found 34-year-old Dustin Ryan Bowen of Douglas suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Because of the nature of the incident, the sheriff’s office requested assistance from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

According to authorities, the joint investigation determined that Bowen was shot multiple times during a dispute involving a canine.

As a result of the investigation, the GBI charged 24-year-old Breanalee Nichole Lollie of Douglas with Party to the Crime of Murder. Eighteen-year-old Raymond Ressler of Douglas was charged with Aggravated Assault.

A 16-year-old juvenile from Douglas was also charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault.

Lollie and Ressler were booked into the Coffee County Jail. The juvenile was transported to a Regional Youth Detention Center.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and ongoing. Once completed, the case will be submitted to the Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for review.
