Man Charged With Murder After Fatal Stabbing on Atlanta Beltline

ATLANTA — A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal stabbing on the Atlanta Beltline that left a 23-year-old woman dead, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Police said officers with Zone 6 responded around 12:11 p.m. on May 14, 2026, to reports of a stabbing near 1764 Flagler Ave. NE along the Atlanta Beltline.

When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from an apparent stab wound.

Authorities said officers and medical personnel attempted life-saving measures before the victim was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Investigators used Atlanta’s integrated camera system to identify a person of interest and issued a citywide BOLO alert.

Just after 5 p.m., officers with APD Zone 5 located the suspect and took him into custody without incident.

Police identified the suspect as 21-year-old Jahmare Brown.

According to investigators, Brown has been charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, and Possession of a Knife During the Commission of a Felony in connection with the deadly Beltline stabbing, as well as an additional assault reported near 415 Plasters Ave. NE.

Brown was transported to the Fulton County Jail.
