Three Arrested in Monroe County Drug Operation; Animal Control Director Among Those Charged

MONROE COUNTY, Ga., April 29, 2026 — Three people were arrested Wednesday following a search warrant tied to a multi-state drug investigation in a Monroe County subdivision, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators executed the warrant in the River Forest Subdivision after developing information related to a broader drug operation. Authorities said the search resulted in the arrests of Chad Gifford, 52, Holden Haworth, 22, and Becky Gifford, 49.

All three are charged with manufacturing and distribution of controlled substances and are being held in the Monroe County Jail without bond.

Officials said Becky Gifford serves as the Animal Control Director for Monroe County.
