MACON, Ga. — A fugitive wanted out of Ohio on multiple violent charges has been arrested in Bibb County following a coordinated effort involving local and federal agencies.

On April 7, 2026, deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Drug Unit and Gang Unit, along with the U.S. Marshals Service and FBI, took 34-year-old Iesha Harris into custody at a Shell gas station at the corner of Northside Drive and Forest Hill Road.

Harris was wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio on three counts of aggravated assault, also referred to as felonious assault.

According to investigators, Harris led law enforcement on a multi-state pursuit on February 28 that involved ramming several Cincinnati police vehicles. She was driving an SUV with a trailer attached. During the chase, a police cruiser ended up on the trailer bed of Harris’ vehicle while officers continued pursuit.

At one point, officers attempted a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle, causing the cruiser on the trailer to flip multiple times. The officer involved sustained injuries but has since been released from the hospital and is recovering.

Authorities said Harris was injured during the crash, suffering a broken ankle, collapsed lung, and broken ribs. She was later taken into custody but bonded out and was placed on an ankle monitor.

Officials say Harris removed the court-ordered monitoring device approximately two weeks later, prompting a new warrant for her arrest.

She was located in Macon and taken into custody without incident. Harris is expected to face extradition back to Ohio.
