Convicted Felon Arrested After Guns Hidden in Ceiling, Marijuana Seized in Macon Raid
MACON, Ga. — A search warrant executed by Bibb County deputies led to the arrest of a convicted felon after investigators discovered firearms hidden in a home along with a large quantity of marijuana.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Special Investigations Unit and Gang Unit conducted the search at a residence on Dubose Street.
During the search, investigators located two firearms concealed in the ceiling. One of the weapons was reported stolen.
Deputies also recovered approximately one pound of marijuana, packaged in one-ounce bags, along with multiple empty one-pound packaging bags, indicating possible distribution activity.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.
He faces multiple charges, including theft by receiving stolen property, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession and distribution-related marijuana charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.
