Butler 66-year-old Man Arrested On Multiple Child Molestation GBI Investigations

BUTLER, Georgia – A Butler man is facing multiple child molestation charges following two separate investigations conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

On March 18, 2026, the GBI announced the arrest of 66-year-old William Robert Busbee of Butler, Georgia. He has been charged with five counts of child molestation.

According to investigators, the first case began on October 30, 2024, when the Butler Police Department requested the GBI to assist with a child molestation investigation involving Busbee.

A second investigation was initiated on March 3, 2026, after Butler Police submitted another request involving a separate child molestation case.

As a result of both investigations, Busbee was taken into custody and booked into the Taylor County Jail.
