Man Dies After Shooting on Rocky Creek Road in Macon, BCSO Investigating
MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday evening in the 1200 block of Rocky Creek Road.
The incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at approximately 5:19 p.m. Deputies responded to a call regarding a person who had been shot and located a 45-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics provided treatment at the scene before transporting the victim to a local medical facility in critical condition. Medical staff later confirmed the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division’s Violent Crime Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Officials say additional information will be released as it becomes available.
