Man Critically Injured in Shooting on Florence Avenue in Macon

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man critically injured Saturday evening.

Deputies responded just before 7:00 p.m. on February 21, 2026, after Macon-Bibb E-911 received reports of a person shot in the 1500 block of Florence Avenue.

When deputies arrived at approximately 6:57 p.m., they located a 35-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics provided emergency medical care at the scene before transporting the victim to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.

Authorities confirmed no other injuries were reported.

Investigators say the information released so far is preliminary and may change as the investigation continues.
