Paulding County Moves To Seize Gang-Linked Property After Arrests

The Paulding County District Attorney’s Office has launched a civil asset forfeiture action aimed at dismantling criminal street gang operations in the county.

On January 20, 2026, prosecutors filed to seize a Douglasville-area property valued at more than $259,000. The action follows a November 26, 2025 operation by the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office that resulted in the arrest of multiple members of a criminal street gang. Investigators determined the residence at 1133 Corhen Store Road had been used to support and advance the gang’s illegal activities.

District Attorney Robert S. Lane said the forfeiture is part of a coordinated effort to not only arrest gang members, but also cut off the resources that allow them to operate.

“From day one, Sheriff Henson and I have worked side by side to make it clear that criminal street gangs have no home in Paulding County,” Lane said. “When the Sheriff’s Office takes down a gang operation, my office follows through by targeting the property and profits that fuel their crimes.”

Officials say the forfeiture action reflects an ongoing partnership between prosecutors and law enforcement focused on dismantling gang networks and protecting the community by removing both the people and the assets tied to organized criminal activity.
